What is SEO?
SEO (search engine optimization), it is process of getting traffic on your website with some practices for free. Now you are confused what I said about SEO. It is a technical definition.
Let’s make it simple for you to understand. Whenever you type in Google anything you want to search we called it a “Keyword or Key phrase”. Now when Google shows result against your search query we called it SERP (search engine result page). Now on SERP it shows some websites that websites come on Google’s first page by SEO.
Let me break it in simple terms Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of optimization of your web content and website so that search engine like to show your website on first page or on the top of the result against a searches query.
Let me give you an example suppose you have an article about “how to make pasta”(keyword). Now you want the search engine (that is Google in 90% cases) shows it in top query when someone search about Keyword “how to make pasta”.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO), has the magic to show your article on top of the Google’s search engine when someone search your keyword.

Like, I already said that to you maximum people or searchers come on Google to search any query.
And almost 65-70% of clicks done to the first five post of the results shows by Google against a keyword.

If you want to hide something place it on Google’s second page (joking). But understand the importance of SEO.
If your website, blog or post ranking on any other page of Google rather on first then it is equal to no ranking.

What is Black Hat SEO?
Black hat SEO is done for making money fast. They don’t care about their users. They just focused on search engines and optimize their content for search engines to show their website on top results. Their aim is to make some dollar in short time but they don’t play for long time or can make money for long time.
It is an illegal way in terms of Google because Google wants to give best result and experience to their users. But black hat SEO break all the rules.
Techniques Used for Black Hat SEO
- Hidden Text
Background colour matches with text colour so that user can’t see the text but spiders can recognise the text.
It is technique in which information or content shows to user is different from content and information shows to spider or search engine.
- Door Way Pages or Gate Way Pages
When a web page is showing different information and redirect to different page via clocking and redirection.
- Link Farm
When you create a group or websites and link them is called link farming.
Google will penalize them for long term. You can earn some dollars out of it but not for long time always look for updates from Google.

Grey hat SEO is the mixture of white and black hat SEO.
What is White Hat SEO?
On the other hand white hat SEO is done by all the rules and regulations. It is the way to build a sustainable online business.

Let’s discuss how to do on page optimization of your blog or website.
First we have to do our keyword research for the topic we have to write content about. How to search keyword and selection of good keywords for your blog to know more about it you can read our other article.
- URL Optimization
We have to use a keyword in URL. According to spider we should use most searched keyword in URL.
But in some cases we may have to use 2nd or 3rd most searched keyword. Why? Well it will depend on lots of cases but a suggestion from my side we have to give preference of our user when we are making selection of URL.
We should use 1 keyword in URL. We should kept all letters small in URL.
We should use hyphen (-) between each and every two words. For example seo-companies.com.
Never use underscore (_). Why? Because hyphen (-) is more readable and visible.
- Title Tag, Meta Description and Keywords Optimization
It is still a very important part of SEO. It is the very first impression of your website or blog to user. Title tag and Meta description is visible to both users and spiders but keywords only visible to spiders.
There is a limit of 60 characters with space in title and 150 characters with space in Meta description and 250 characters with space in keywords.
- Content Value
Give value to your content. Try to write 2000+ words article for your blogs or website. Write quality content don’t copy it to anyone. Don’t use duplicate content otherwise Google will penalise your blog.
How to check duplicate content?
There are many tools available in market where you can check whether your content is duplicate or not.

Keyword density should be 2-3 % in one article.
- Header Tags
Header tags are still very important use H1, H2, H3 tags in your articles heading. Use 1 H1 heading in one article.
- Image Optimization
Compressed your website images to boost up your web page speed site. Use alt tags in images.
- Use HTTPS – SSL Certificate
Use HTTPS – SSL certification and make sure Google will consider your certification.
- Site Maps
There are 2 types of site maps.
- HTML site maps
- XML site maps
- HTML Site Maps
It is a web page link on any site where all the links on site are present in any decorative way. It is for user and spider. When spider comes then it makes a list of all links on website.
HTML site map save time of spider if spider comes to this page than crawling will fast.
- XML Site Maps
It is only for spiders. You can check xml site map of any website like www.abc.com/sitemap.xml.
It has a list of URLs in xml format. It is must require because spider crawl xml language very fast.
- Handle Robots
Use robots to allow and disallow crawling of any page of your website. If you want spider not to crawl any page or folder then disallow it. It is save time of spider.
- Canonical Issues
When more than one path belongs to same destination then canonical issues arise. Use canonical tag to resolve canonical issues.

Note: Use that version of URL which you want to index and also use that version in site maps otherwise spider will confuse.
- International Targeting
It has a proper syntax.

- Alexa Ranking
Alexa ranking depends on popularity of your website in a specific country or worldwide. That how much traffic at your website. It starts with 1 to infinite. 1 is the best.
- Domain Authority (DA)
It is for main domain. It depends on relevant backlinks, main domain backlinks. Depends on trusted websites like like .gov, .bis, .org, .edu. It gives ranking 1 to 100. 100 is the best ranking.
- Page Authority (PA)
It is for individual page. Each and every page has its own page authority. It is also backlink oriented.
- Link Juice
To divide the traffic of a web page have heavy traffic to another web pages.

Crawl means read. Crawling is the process of crawl a web page.
- How to check crawling?
Check crawling via Google webmaster tool or Google search console.
- What is Caching?
Cache means spider take photographs and process of cache is called caching. Frequently cache is more chance to grow organic results.
- What is indexing?
Process of spider save web pages in their database is called indexing. Those pages who index are show in results.
